The Afro-Caribbean food is fucking out of control delicious, the cocktails are tropical and amazing, and the speakeasy in libris secretorum features all Black-Owned Spirits. Great Rising Your Highnesses, I hope you are exceedingly well. Let me introduce You to my DC favorite, Pure Lounge, the heart of U Street. Mike Walker, the legendary proprietor of the place, prides himself on his eye for talent and ear for music. Pure Lounge features DJs, musicians, poetry nights, drink specials, hookah specials, and all kinds of special events for Purists. I have a special place in my Black Heart for Pure as it was the first venue in DC to ever book one of my shows. I’ll have to do it again soon. Maybe for my Solar Rotation…
